Casa del Moral
Located between Calle Moral and Calle Bolívar, this building features a Baroque façade with the coat of arms of Manuel Santos de San Pedro. The house once belonged to the Order of Our Lady of Mercy and was bought by Bernardo Cornejo Calderón in 1729. His widow later remarried to Manuel Santos de San Pedro, who put all his energy into rebuilding the mansion after it was destroyed by a fire. In the courtyard stands the old mulberry tree (moral in Spanish) that gives the house its name. The rooms contain furniture and art dating from both the Viceroyalty and the Republican period. Today, the mansion is owned by the Fundación BCP.
